A little away from the main road, Sakunthala Holiday Homes offers holiday accommodations that are very clean and fresh. The food was average but good. The helpful staff makes this place feel like your home away from home.

It was well worth the money for our stay at Sakunthala Holiday Homes, which truly felt like your home away from home. We (all 4) spent the night in a 2-bedroom apartment that offered great floor space, including a kitchen, living area, dining area, and a balcony. It also featured one shared bathroom. The apartment was considerably clean and tidy, with a TV equipped with satellite TV, WiFi, and a BBQ machine available for rent. This is ideal for a group of four or a family of 4/5. The hosts were nice and helpful when we requested something. However, there are some drawbacks as well: the main door to the apartment cannot be locked, which is a significant concern. Additionally, there are a few broken items in the bathroom that should be fixed, and there was no soap provided (so it’s better to bring your own). Also, the hot water was not heating up adequately.

I absolutely love this place and would recommend it to everyone looking for holiday accommodations. Sakunthala Holiday Homes is the best place to stay in Belihuloya, conveniently located within walking distance from the Colombo-Badulla main road. It’s a lovely spot for a long stay, and unfortunately, I only managed to stay one night—I wish I could have stayed longer! The room can accommodate up to four people and features generous space with a living area, dining table, TV, separate kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms, and a separate balcony. The ability to cook is a fantastic perk, making it feel like your home away from home in a beautiful natural environment. They have included all the necessary amenities in the room, and everything was there. The stunning view directly faces the mountain known as ‘Hawa Gala’. It’s a cool location and offers great value for the money, making it suitable for all types of travelers—couples, families, and friends gathering. I would definitely recommend it to everyone, and I plan to return for sure.
